National ATV Safety Conference – 30 & 31 March 2017

Welcome

On behalf of the Organising Committee, I would like to welcome you to the 2017 National Quad Bike Safety Forum. We are very proud to invite you to the tropical city of Cairns “Where the rainforest meets the reef”. This event is the first of its kind in the Australian Quad Bike Industry and aims to clear up some of the questions and misconceptions around Quad Bike Safety on Australian farms.

If you own a Quad, use a Quad for work or have staff working on a Quad this forum is for you…

The Forum will cover all aspects of Quad Bike Safety over two days. Day one will focus on Safety. Helmet laws, Available Safety Products, Kids on Full Size Bikes, Coronial Findings, Duty of Care, Inductions and Safety Culture will all be part of the conversation.

Day two will see the focus shift to Quad Bike Training. Accredited and Non-Accredited training will be discussed in depth and the findings/outcomes from this consultation will be collected and used to improve the content/relevance of the current unit of competency “AHCMOM212 Operate Quad Bikes”.

“Improve Safety Awareness and you will improve Safety Culture; Improve Safety culture and you will reduce unsafe behaviors”.
